Today I Will Show You How To Edit Your build.prop
(Which
Includes Android Verison,Model Name,ect)
Requirements:
A Rooted Device
Root Explore App Installed
Notepad++ (For
Doing It By PC)
Link For Notepad++
There Two Ways To Do Edit Your build.prop
1.By Notepad++ (Pc)
2.By Root Explore App
You Can Change Your Model Name Of Your Phone,Android
Version Etc
1.Editing build.prop From PC(Notepad++)
First of all we need to get copy of build.prop from
your device
(which is possible by root explore app)
Go to root explore find and enter into a folder called
system
Now find build.prop copy this and paste in your sdcard
Now connect to your pc & copy build.prop to your
desktop from your phone’s sd card
(NOTE:- notepad++ should be installed on your windows)
Open build.prop with notepad++ now lets edit it
I am just going to edit
1. ro.build.id
2. ro.build.version.release (android version)
So I am now going to changing the build.id as kitkat
&
the build version that is android version as 4.4.2
Then save the changes made by “Save All Button”
Now Copy The Edited build.prop To Your Sd Card
&
Replace It With The Old build.prop In System
2.Now if some of you cannot access a pc not to
worry you can edit build.prop from root explore
(Make SURE to make a BACKEUP of build.prop incase something goes wrong replace new edited build.prop with old build.prop )
So now long press on buld.prop & open as text
editor
Now change build.id
&
Now change build version
Open option save changes exit root explore reboot your
phone
Now check about phone you have ics on your gb :P
